The world is super busy and more crowded than ever.
We run from one activity to another and then wonder if all of the stuff we’re doing translates into anything of value. Many of us long to develop deeper, more meaningful relationships. We want to have some time to be our authentic selves, ask challenging questions, think about God, and hear what He is saying to us. And when our lives become overwhelming, our greatest hope is for a listening ear and someone to come alongside us in our hour of desperation.
Our hope is that at Resurrection, we will become a church transformed by the power of love and belonging. A warm and sincerely welcoming community where we, the core group, listen, care and have a genuine interest in each other. A church where fun and laughter and joy are the norm and newcomers feel immediately at home.
We want Resurrection to be intent on creating a culture of care. We want folks to feel equipped and empowered to pray for each other in the moment. We hope that we all understand that we are all a work in progress and that it’s okay to share our journeys with authenticity and honesty, knowing that God will make all things beautiful in His time.
